What is the best way to store Pomegranates?

My sister brought us tons over the weekend and I can only eat so much? I seeded about 4 and put them in baggies in the refrigerator but wonder what I should do with the others 15+? I heard cardboard box on the floor? Please help I want them to last as long as possible!

What is the best way to store Pomegranates?
My mom has a pomegranate tree and gets a lot of fruit off of them. She puts them all in baggies (without cracking them open) and then stores them in the freezer until she's ready to eat them. Then she takes one out and cracks it on the sidewalk until it opens. We both think pomegranates taste much better frozen than at room temperature. She's kept them in the freezer for up to maybe 3-4 months.
Reply:make a jelly out of them.
Reply:stick them in the refrigerator too.

"Selecting and storing: Pomegranates can range in color from red to pink and have a leathery skin. Choose fruits that are bright and heavy; if the stem end emits powder when pressed, do not purchase. Store whole in the refrigerator for up to a month."

"Buying and storing tips

Pomegranates are typically available September through November. Choose pomegranates with good color and that feel heavy; avoid those with dry-looking, wrinkled, or cracked rind. They will keep at room temperature for two to three days or in the refrigerator for up to three months."
