What is the best blend of potting soil for pomegranate(for indoors)?

For Pomegranate use John Innes potting soil No. 2. The plant likes any ordinary soil, and grows well in alkaline soil. Re-pot every other year in March or April and give pot plants a weak liquid feed every 10-14 days from March to September. Water liberally from spring to fall, very sparingly in winter. Pomegranate likes bright light.
