Are there worms in Pomegranates?

I was cutting one in the kitchen and my uncle said %26quot;hey, if you find any worms in there make sure you put them outside.%26quot; then i gave him a puzzled look, but he said, %26quot;the mexican guys at work told me that.%26quot; (he works at a lawn care company.)

IS HE RIGHT?

IF YES, WHAT HAPPENES IF YOU EAT ONE?

Are there worms in Pomegranates?
Any fruit can have worms in it, if it has worms in it then you toss it, you don%26#039;t pick them out and then eat it.
Reply:I haven%26#039;t found so far.
Reply:Worms can get in most fruits. You look at the peeling to see if there are any little holes which means a worm. If there are any inside, cut that part out.
Reply:Posssible but why would you eat it?
Reply:No
Reply:i think he was just messing around with u dont freank out
Reply:Any fruit/vegetable has the potential to have worms in it. Pomegranates have just as much a chance as say oranges or apples do.
Reply:Worms taste good. So do grain weevils. Stop trippin, you won%26#039;t die. Vegans believe everything has a right to eat right? Well, if this omni eats the critters, so should you. They%26#039;re just trying to live B.
Reply:no,
Reply:some pomegranates might have worms. the one i ate didnt have worms. the worm just want something to eat.

Nothing will happen if you eat one. The worm is protien.
Reply:I%26#039;ve eaten hundreds of pomegranates, never had a worm. However, if it%26#039;s too old, some of the seeds get quite mushy and taste terrible, that might be what your uncle was talking about,
