Are pomegranates in season yet?

We always shop at a fruit stand for our fruit/veggies. They never carried them. I don%26#039;t notice them at Fred Meyer (our local grocery store or Trader Joe%26#039;s)

Are they in season? Where do I get them? Are they expensive?

Are pomegranates in season yet?
I%26#039;ve seen them at my local grocery stores, and pomegranates are NOT native to Michigan. I think I saw them at 3/$5. They%26#039;re apple-sized and pinkish-red.
Reply:There are in local stores now. I am suprise you haven%26#039;t seen them in Trader Joe%26#039;s..don%26#039;t know the other store.

I think the 1 I picked up this week was $1.99 but it is huge.
Reply:Yes, pomegranates are in season in October and November in the US. I%26#039;ve seen them at our local grocery stores - County Market for one. There are several County Market stores in this area. I don%26#039;t know if they are just a local chain or a large chain of stores though.
Reply:yes....i think so.....they are sure promoting them at the grocery store
