Why are Pomegranates only sold in the fall?

that is when they are harvested and they spoil quickly


You can%26#039;t freeze or can them. However, press them through a sieve and extract the juice. Makes excellent wine, jelly or add to other fruit juices to make an exotic punch. Great for a party where you want to empress your guests.

fruit is seasonal





you can get more mainstream fruit out of season because of the demand (for more money of course), but there isn%26#039;t much demand for pomegranates
