Does anyone know what the nutritional values of a pomegranate are?

I%26#039;ve been eating them a lot lately, just wondering.

Does anyone know what the nutritional values of a pomegranate are?
So last week while I had my baby girl at the pediatricians office, I came across this in the Winter 2007 Remedy MD...

%26quot;Pick A Pomegranate%26quot;

By Christie Fiedler

%26quot;Next time you%26#039;re in the grocery store, you may want to pick up a pomegranate. Two studies show that pomegranate juice just might help fight prostate cancer. Recently, scientists at the University of Wisconsin discovered that pomegranate fruit extracts slow the growth and promote the death of highly aggressive human prostate cancer cells grown in tissue cultures. And a preliminary study of men with prostate cancer showed that pomegranate juice lengthens prostate-specific antigen doubling time, from 15 months to 54 months on the juice.

Longer doubling time reflects slowed tumor growth. Also, early results from an Israeli study suggest that pomegranates may help counteract the effects of cardiovascular disease.

But pomegranate juice, like grapefruit juice, may interact with certain medications, and a 2006 report linked it to a case of statin-induced muscle damage. %26quot; It also recommends talking to your physician before starting a regimen.

I have also learned it is great for clear complexions.. And is high in Fiber!

Yes it is me and you chewed me out the other day... I was the heart, ie %26quot;the stupid heart%26quot;,

I didn%26#039;t answer to anger you, just to say hello. :(

Yes she is finally back to school after a week home. Thank you. Hope you too are doing well...

I sometimes change my screen name, depending on my avatar or even how I feel.... Silly? Perhaps... But it is me....

I am always CJ♥

But from time to time, I change it... This is the only account I have.... The other one I closed out...

So in part it was my fault, but I thought you were venting out of anger for my absence.... Honestly, when I took the name off last time I didn%26#039;t think I would be on here at all anymore...

Sometimes I get too addicted to this so I pull back for various reasons... Silly? Again, perhaps....

AS to my avatar, I can%26#039;t have one for right now because I share this account with my hubby for his football fantasy through Yahoo... If I use my cute avatar, pout, it shows up on his Football Fantasy Page, so I am banned from using it until the end of the season... %26quot;Daddy said so...%26quot; :( LOL!
Reply:Thank you Sir, I will check into that... Never heard of it before... I hope your day is beautiful... Report It
