To lose 3kgs?

It seems I have hit a plateau after walking on an average of 5km. My weight initially came down faster (lost 8 kgs) but after that it doesn't seem to come down. I have now changed my routine a bit - Usually I do walking in the morning but now I have started to do cycling (recumberant bike) in the evening to burn around 300 calories (35 mins, 15 kms I cover). This is my food routine :





Morning breakfast :





South indian breakfast such as idly, dosa (or) sometimes cornflakes





Afternoon meal:





three chappatis, one cup of rice, vegetable salad (cucumber, carrots, tomatoes)


(or)


two cup full of rice with vegetable salad (cucumber, carrots, tomatoes)





Dinner:





4 chappatis , sweet lime juice(or) some juice or fruit. 1 cup yoghurt





I want to lose 5 kgs so I want to change the afternoon/dinner to the following one:





afternoon meal:





one cup of rice, vegetable salad


(or)





3 chappatis, half cup of rice, vegetable salad





Dinner:





Only fruits - apple, pear, pomegranate,

To lose 3kgs?
That sounds so freakin' healthy! I wish I could eat as healty. (Hey I'm half East Indian, and that half of me is South Indian!) All I can suggest is continue eating how you are eating, and maybe cut down the ammount of food per meal, but have like 5 tiny meals a day. Also, try eating celary. It's very healthy, and it takes more calories to eat it then the amount in it. I hope this helps! Drink a maximum of 8 glasses of water a day as well!

Reply:1.Reduce chapati to two either in lunch or in dinner.


2.Between lunch and dinner there must be a snacks - take banana/ biscuits with tea/coffee.


3.Keep food gap of four hours in day time.


4.drink water each two hours.


5.Don't hurry. Reduce 1kg in a month.

Once you repeat the same thing over and over, the body is not stressed to burn more. Look at jogging or sprinting.





Combine strength and cardio workouts for more effective results.

Reply:every morning in empty stomach have lime juice with honey in warm water,and after an hour have ur break fast corn flakes or any other salads and afteran hour have glass of pinapple juice and in the afternoon lunch have rice with salad,midafternn orange juice, and for dinner two chappati with vegetables

i think u should make changes in both ur diet and exercise regime which will be a surprise for ur body n u'll overcome the plateau.


DIET CHANGES : break ur diet into 6 parts with gap of 3 hours between each meal.So ur meal would be something like this -


breakfast (8 am)


snack 11 am(small fruit / coconut water 1 glass / butter milk 1 glass/2 small crackers / 2 marie biscuits / 1 glass skimmed milk / hand ful nuts like walnut, raisins, almonds, peanuts, chana / roasted murmura 1 cup etc)


lunch 2 pm


snack 5 pm


dinner 8pm


snack 11 pm ( only skimmed milk or fruit)


snack


this will help u to acheive a gr8 metabolic rate n burn off fat.


food must be limited in each meal approx calories of breafast /lunch/dinner should be 250 cal.


EXERCISE CHANGES: try to incorporate interval training in ur walk.like walk for 5 min at speed of 5 km/hr then for 1 min on 10 km /hr then slow down to 5 speed for another 5 min.do this 3 times i.e. u run at spped of 10km/hr for 3 min.do 5 min warm up n 5 min cool down.the total time will need 28 min.


then try to do 5 min jogging on spot 2 times in ur working time.say before lunch and as u return frm work.this will again kick start ur body.u can also do fast stair walking in office for 60 sec.try to bring small but significant changes like getting on ur stationary bike whike talking on phone, doing 12 push ups as u watch ur fav programon T.V.
