Is this diet ok for a pregnant woman?

an apple,1 - 2 glass of whole milk (with one small spoonful of sugar),1 or 2 bananas, a cup of yogurt, a bowl of boiled rice, 2 wheat breads,a bowl of lentils or legumes, a glass of freshly extracted orange or grape fruit juice,a bowl of pomegranate (twice or thrice a week),a bunch of grapes (4-5 times a week),a small bowl of cooked vegetables with very little spices,a little fresh cut salad(mostly cucumber and tomatoes),pinch of lime juice every now and then and sometimes dry fruits (but i dont like their taste so i cant eat them much)

since i'm a vegetarian i dont eat eggs and meat. besides i take no ready -to -eat market foods or snacks, no chips or cold drinks,no bottled and packed juices,no cakes, biscuits, cookies, noodles, etc as all these are considered uselessly fattening

i'm 12 weeks along and the doc says baby is fine and my weight is stable.(i have neither gained nor lost weight in my first trimester)

pl tell me if this much is ok or do i need to increase or decrease it

Is this diet ok for a pregnant woman?
One doctor had confirmed your status , if in doubt , get a second opinion from another doctor.
Reply:as far as i have read in various pregnancy websites you should be avoiding grapes all throughout your pregnancy.
Reply:pregnancy is critical stage of life. please do not go by the opinion of general public. you should to everything after consulting your doctor only.
Reply:Great diet I must say. You can include Soyabean in your diet for extra protiens in form of Nutrela soya chunks and Soya flour mixed with normal flour.

Get hold on Mother's Horlicks..I am using it..its got DHA and Omega 3 fatty acids which are really good for baby's brain.

Have vegetables porridge along with Oats in the morning sometimes. They are good source of dietary fibre and protiens.

Almonds. They are good source of Calcium.

Indian Goosbery ( steamed or dry) every morning to have that extra Vitamin C.

Rest you are doing great. My doc too suggested the same diet without any additional salt or biscuits etc but I sometimes crave for such food. Hats off to you for being so determined. and Congrats on the pregnancy. You are doing great.
Reply:Really you are taking very good diet.

Better to use fat free milk instead of whole milk and add oats, carrots to your list.

All the best!
Reply:you should eat nuts to get protein, other than that you have a very healthy diet. there are also prenatal vitamins to help supplement your diet. you don't usually gain weight that early on in the pregnancy. eat when you feel hungry and eat as much as you need to feel full, don't limit the amount of food that you eat. congrats and good luck.
Reply:YEAH ITS OK BUT A PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD HAVE LIGHT AND NUTRITIOUS FOOD....HEAVY WILL MAKE U FEEL GIDDY....LOTS OF FOOD AND MILK...GREEN VEGETABLES....VITAMINS PROTEINS...ENERGY GIVING FOOD IS MUST AND TRY TO AVOID SPICES AND SOUR FOOD IT CAN EFFECT THE PRODUCTION OF YOUR BREAST MILK....AND CAN CAUSE SOME DESEASE ...ALL THE BEST AND CONGRATULATIONS.....SWEETY
