Is there any other juice besides cranberry juice that can prevent and treat UTIs?

I know that 100% cranberry juice can and does help treat urinary tract infections, but I hate the bitter taste! I know that drinking cranberry juice with sugar and from concentrate like Ocan Spray isn't as helpful as the organic kind, so I don't bother. BUt this brand of 100% juice not from concentrate that has no added sugar that I've tried also has this GREAT tasting blueberry-pomegranate juice. They also have blueberry-cran juice but that is not so great either. Is it ok to drink the blue-pom juice instead of cran juice? does it do the same things because of the great antioxidants in blueberries and pom? Or is there something else about cran that makes it work?

My health food lady recommended to me Black Cherry Extract (capsules) as a preventative, and Cranberry (capsules) as a cleanser. This way I totally avoid the sugar in the Ocean Spray (as I am diabetic too).
Reply:Actaully, my Dr told me that drinking cranberry juice is not 100%. It helps some people and not others. He didn't say why. Same with cranberry pills. You can get those at GNC or vitamin store.

But drinking water - LOTS of water -helps to prevent one.
Reply:Sure, try ACV - apple cider vinegar. You can cocktail it with honey. Daily ACV will help to regulate your pH and create an environment unsuitable for UTIs.

Be sure to look for raw, unfiltered, unpastuerized, organic ACV. Adjust the cocktail to taste, or simply mix with water (shake well first to mix the "mother" that settles at the bottom). I prefer Braggs(.com), although there are other manufacturers.
Reply:The point of cranberries is the acidic level, it rises in your bladder and causes a bad environment for germs to grow. Try eating craisins Ocean spray makes them. They are like raisins and in the isle next to them in the market. I eat a hand full a day with trail mix or yogurt and am UTI free. So far no other fruit raises the level of acid in your bladder.
Reply:Try drinking cherry juice , it's good for your health.
